In memory of Kristine

No mother should have to start over with nothing.

The Kristine Arberry Foundation provides support, advocacy, and resources to women survivors of abuse in Riverside, California — beginning with an Emergency Welcome Kit placed directly in a mother's hands.

Her story

Her name is the reason

Kristine Margaret Lynn Arberry was Linda Marie Arberry's firstborn daughter. She was killed by her boyfriend in 2022.

She was a sister — to her brother, Christopher Blake Arberry, and to her sister, Taylor Arberry — and her family carries her with them in everything this Foundation does.

She is remembered with love by her grandmother, Nancy Arberry — “Nana” to Kristine and to all the family — and by her auntie, Carolyn Arberry.

Her mother founded this Foundation in her name so that no mother leaving abuse in their community has to start over with nothing — with support, advocacy, and resources to help women rebuild their lives, and with community safety and peace carried forward in Kristine's memory.

Why pink? Pink was Kristine's favorite color. It runs through everything the Foundation makes — the wings, the hoodie, this site — so that her color is present wherever her name is doing its work.

What we do

Emergency Welcome Kits

When a mother leaves abuse, the first days are the hardest. An Emergency Welcome Kit meets her right there — essentials she needs immediately, plus gift cards she can spend on groceries and getting where she needs to go.

$50

One kit, complete

Every kit costs $50 to build. Half of each kit goes to grocery and transport gift cards, and half to essential supplies — so a mother gets both what she needs in hand and the freedom to choose the rest herself.

Our first-year goal

The Foundation's goal for its first year is 50 Emergency Welcome Kits for mothers in Riverside, California. Grant applications for kit funding are currently under review, and every individual gift moves a kit from planned to placed.
